He was a bricklayer of Chesterfield Township, Burlington Co., NJ; where his will was probated 7/5/1786. It appears from the records that Samuel Jr. and Edith had no children, but brought up their two nephews Ameriah Farnsworth, son of his brother Nathaniel, and Samuel Updike, son of his sister Sarah Updyke.
